Anyone use Singleparentmeet?

I'm wondering if there are any real people on this dating site, or if it's just a ghost town filled with spammers.

I am a single parent mother and I don't enjoy talking about my children, nor do I want to tell people I'm dating that I have someone back home.

In theory, a site where everyone is a parent would be a good thing. Kind of a Brady Bunch situation hahaha.

Seriously, anyone have experience using this site?

It's OK, pretty basic site. Like mobile access, receive emails and flirts, view profiles, see who's been viewing your profile, messaging, etc.

It's a simple site but the premise is that it brings single parents together so that there are no misunderstandings. No need to explain your living situation. Everyone knows you're a single parent. They might be single parents themselves or be cool with dating one.

Well yes I know that. And I am also aware the site is owned by the same network that owns Match.com.

I can understand how dated the software is because Gen Xers usually prefer that 90s style of layout and navigation.

I specifically meant the ambiance of the place, the people, and the interactions.

They might be single parents themselves or be cool with dating one.

No, this is not OK. I have no desire to date someone who is attracted to a single mom and is OK with me having a child. I could go out and find a dozen doe-eyed college students to have an affair with, and they would all be "OK with it."

What I am looking for is a dating site where only single parents are members. Are you saying that it's for single parent admirers? That defeats the purpose of the site for me.

I understand your plight. You sound like one of my own relatives, someone who is not at all interested in dating for sport, but serious about finding a compatible partner and decent living situation.

It is getting harder, I won't be dishonest about that. But, it's hard for an up and coming site to to vet every user that comes aboard.

They can moderate profiles that are obviously fake. But how can you disqualify someone for merely saying he is interested in dating a single parent, but doesn't have children of his own?

I would be more inclined to recommend a site like eHarmony or even Elite Singles. They are better at matching people up based on common factors like values, lifestyle, career, etc.

A site like SingleParentMeet seems to be a catch all for parents and parent admirers alike and that's sometimes oil and water.
