FAQs about Dating in Atlanta

I've lived in Atlanta my entire life and have a bit of a reputation as a ladies man. So if any dudes or ladies want to ask me questions about how to get a date, what apps to use, what bars or clubs to hit, I'm your connection.

First up, I want to say that there is a myth going around that women outnumber men in the city. But this is not true.

You will always find dudes out there, some of them just suck and have no people skills. But it's a pretty much 50/50 ratio, and even on some of the popular dating apps, I notice that the male female ratio is pretty even.

Also, I think the STK Steakhouse is fantastic and a must-try if you've never been before.

I have heard that the female to male ratio is such a big deal in Atlanta that many organizations, even churches have singles events.

It seems to me like a mix of Old South with University culture, which is kind of hard to imagine. What do you think are the best neighborhoods or districts to head to if you're looking?

And how about the online dating scene?

I've heard that Adult Friend Finder and Ashley Madison are popular for hookups. But I've never signed up for them.

But there are also other newer apps like Flure, Hily and Happn which I've heard of but not tried in depth.

Well I mean location wise, I'd say Downtown area is good.

Some good places are like Tongue & Groove, Bar Margot, Cru Urban Lounge, Havana Club ATL...

But I'd say for Atlanta dating a lot of people really like meeting up more than Netflix and chilling.

Like Meetup.com is pretty popular because it's low pressure dating.

But like, you could also meet people just walking your dog at the local part. Dogs are a great conversation starter!

Yeah that's the point. You meet face to face after you introduce yourself on the app. Flure works OK, so does Tinder. But guys get too easily discouraged. Got to keep fighting, keep playing!
