Real BDSM dating sites? Looking for Recommendations

I have been interested in the Bondage, Discipline, Submission, and Masochism lifestyle for as long as I can remember, at least since I first discovered it in the film "Secretary." Years before Fifty Shades of Grey, by the way.

I have always known of BDSM chatrooms, and the like. I've talked to a few random kinksters about getting spanked. It was fun.

But I haven't really looked much for BDSM dating sites. I just found out there are quite a few sites that cater to this community, especially helping BDSM kinksters find a suitable partner(s).

I am curious to know what these sites are and if you have used any of them.

There are actually a lot of BDSM dating sites nowadays and they all seem to have basic or sometimes advanced features.

I think though it's best to separate two types of sites: kink (which could involve some very soft BDSM practices, and legit hardcore BDSM sites.

So at the end of the spectrum for hardcore you have

• Alt.com

And on the opposite end of the spectrum you have

• Adult Friend Finder
• Feeld
• KinkD
• PURE
• Flure

These sites tend to be tame by comparison. They're more about kink and exploring fantasies than actually engaging or finding a hardcore BDSM mate.

I know Fetlife and AFF are pretty popular already. Anyone meet a play partner on those sites?

You should probably add Seeking to that list. Not for BDSM, but definitely a lot of Christian Grey wannabes and Anastasia Steele wannabes too.

Alt.com is good, Fetlife is good. Alt.com is more expensive. Fetlife is also more of a hobbyist site. You can meet other single people on there, but it's more like chatting with people at a virtual MUNCH.

No dating features at Fetlife. Just chat, share photos, comment on photos that sort of thing.

Fetlife has more dating features.

I wouldn't say Adult Friend Finder is not BDSM friendly. It's just more mainstream. So you have a lot of people into vanilla kink and a few people into hardcore stuff. But chatting about it is the fun part.

Feeld is mostly swingers and open marriages, not a lot of BDSM stuff.

KinkD and

PURE and Flure, they're both good but not heavy into the lifestyle, just fantasies and such.

Recon is for gay men and Femdommatch.com is only a very particular niche of BDSM. Femdom is not exactly everyone's cup of tea.

Even Reddit has a BDSM community going on at reddit.com/r/bdsm/.

I have seen a few of these sites.

Fantasy App, not sure if you mentioned this one, but it's very light BDSM. Like mostly swinging, fantasies, handcuffs that sort of thing.

BDSM Singles is pretty hardcore and has been around for a while. Paid site though, no freebies.

Fetster is similar to Fetlife, a community and social network where you can host events and that sort of thing.

Bondage Pal is pretty out there and very friendly to virtually all kinks. Good place to connect with experts and newbies.

BDSM Hookups is a unique site, one where you just meet for something quick and easy, no attachments. Not really a BDSM practice to abandon your partner so quickly, but some people like that I suppose.

Fetish.com is a bit more like AFF, live chat, community forums and the like.

BDSM.com is pretty big, similar to Alt.com. Lots of people to talk to.

Buddy Bang is sort of a dating app but more concerned about anonymous meeting, talking to strangers, private galleries, that sort of thing. not heavy BDSM but pretty good nonetheless.

Has anyone tried KinkD? That's one that I've not seen before.
