What are the top free dating sites in USA without payment?

Someone was asking me what the best free dating sites are in the US and I was honestly not sure what to tell her.

Why does everyone come to me asking questions about dating? Am I the resident slut or something? All of my friends and acquaintances come to me like some kind of svengali!

Anyway I know Tinder is free, or at least has a free version and a pay version but you can use Tinder and chat for free.

Any other ideas? I really don't want to research it. But I wouldn't mind looking smart in front of my friend!

I think the go to sites are Tinder and Bumble. Tinder is aggressively male, lots of dudes and Instagram girls (who aren't serious about dating).

Bumble is actually better for guys like me, who like intelligent conversation and want to match with someone fun and interesting. Women make the first move. Most of the app, including platonic and networking options, are free.

Hinge I think is free also. But it has this weird thing where it only gives the best matches to higher paying members and gives all the crap matches to free members.

That's why i kind of thing those sites are not for serious dating.

They are free, but you get what you pay for.

Well that depends. Are we talking about free trials or just free altogether?

Some sites seem to be what I can only call shareware, which means they offer some things for free, but other features for pay.

In addition to the apps mentioned above, check out OKCupid, Plenty of Fish and Facebook Dating.

Some sites like Zoosk, Match and Christian Mingle have some limited features for free, but will hawk you for that membership fee.

Dating.com isn't free. It does give you a pretty nice preview though, letting you see the site and receive messages from the popular "influencers" of single women.

Facebook Dating is good if you have a lot of Facebook friends and want to get an introduction to single friends of friends.

The site lets you find matches of people "you might know" and connect with them on common interests, or groups/pages you might have in common.

It's easy to set up a profile since all your info is already on Facebook. You can use it for free, browse matches, send likes, and there's a "secret crush" that lets you match with your friends and followers if they like you back.

Don't forget Grindr and HER.

They're both free and have a lot of activity. Yes, a lot of gay guys are on Grindr and lesbians on HER. But you might be surprised to know they are both very inclusive.

Both sites welcome trans people, and pretty much anyone who is open minded.

There are actually cisgender women on Grindr. Did you know that? So just take a chance if you're feeling a little pan or demisexual!
