How Chaturbate works

Chaturbate is free to watch. Performers broadcast publicly and earn from tips, so most rooms run on tip goals and tip menus: the room works together toward a goal, and the show moves when it’s hit. You can watch without signing up; a free account lets you chat and follow performers.

Because almost everything happens in public, Chaturbate rooms are busy and social. The biggest rooms have thousands of viewers and fast-moving chat. Smaller rooms are where you get noticed and can actually talk to the performer.

How Chaturbate tokens work

Chaturbate runs on tokens. You spend them on tips, toy control and private shows.

Pick a username that isn’t your real name, and remember that public chat is public: other viewers can read everything you type.

Tips for your first visit

• Try smaller rooms. In a room with a few dozen viewers the performer reads chat and remembers regulars. In the top rooms you’re one of thousands.
• Read the tip menu and goal at the top of the room. They tell you what the show is building toward.
• Follow performers you like with a free account so you know when they’re back online.
• Watch a spy show before paying for a private, to see what that performer’s privates are like.
